The Santa Beanie Initiative
‘Tis the season to exchange gifts, eat, drink, and be merry. ‘Tis the season to gather with friends, relatives, significant others, and anyone who’s moderately tolerable after three glasses of Grandma’s especially strong eggnog. But for some, the holiday season is a time when hardships become more apparent. When people can’t afford basic services like heat, and struggle to stay warm during Christmas.
Because not everyone has a warm place to celebrate the holidays, we’re activating the Santa Beanie Initiative.
What is it?
The Santa Beanie Initiative allows kind folks (like yourselves) to donate beanies, scarves, and mittens/gloves in an effort to warm those who can’t afford the simpler means to warm themselves.

What do I have to do?
We ask that you drop off your extra gloves, scarves, and beanies to our multi-purpose building.
And once you’ve entered the building, simply drop your items off under the sizable and blazingly bright Christmas Tree.
Don’t have any gloves, beanies, or scarves to drop off? Then simply make a comparable monetary donation in the field below; we’ll use this money to purchase – and then donate — beanies, scarves, or gloves directly from our suppliers.
You can find us right here:
Amity Digital/Giant Robo Printing
300 Benjamin Franklin Hwy East
Douglassville, PA 1951
Hours of Operation:
Mon-Fri: 8am-5:30pm

Where do the donations go?
We’ll take your presents from under the tree and deliver them directly to Safe Berks.
What’s Safe Berks?
Safe Berks provides support to victims of sexual assault and domestic violence. They offer a safe haven, and we’re proud of our partnership to protect and empower those in dire need.
When can I start donating?
If you’re reading this, you can start donating right now. As in, right now. As in, you don’t have to keep reading. There’s really nothing left to say. The rest is up to you.
Ready to warm the head, hands, neck (and by extension, heart) of those who suffer in fear of violence? Then drop off your hats, gloves, and scarves T-O-D-A-Y.
