Project Description
HOW WE TACKLED THE WEBSITE REDESIGN FOR THIS PROJECT
Brief
Marvel Builders, Inc., a family-owned construction business based in Pottstown, PA, “built” (get it?) their reputation on the following exemplary services: new home construction, home additions, kitchen renovations, bathroom renovations, decks, and custom basements.
Eric Marvel was looking to improve the quality of Marvel Builders’ online presence, so it was time to tear down the rickety construction of his current website, and rebuild something new, modern, and worthy of Marvel Builders’ unquestionable craftsmanship.
So, Eric filled out our form, stopped by for a meeting, and let the fine folks at Amity Digital don their (virtual) construction caps before breaking ground on Marvel Builders’ new website.
Deliverables
Eric Marvel needed a modern website to convey the breadth of Marvel Builders’ construction services.
And this website needed to convey Marvel Builders’ competency, expertise, completed work, and overall branding.
He was also hoping to integrate Builder Trend software allowing website visitors to fill out detailed quote forms. And this software also allows new customers to create a portal, granting them access to every phase of their unique project.
This is how we helped:
We created a new website promoting Marvel Builders’ expertise and range of services.
We created plenty of calls to action utilizing Builder Trend’s quote forms.
At Eric’s request, we made sure every “Learn More” button under each service led to the “Our Process” page. From an SEO perspective, this is kind of a no-no, but at the time of this writing, Eric was dealing with a preponderance of customers. So, he wanted to guide potential customers down a path that may answer a lot of common questions — questions that would help qualify the seriousness of a potential customer.
And we made sure to include images of Marvel Builders’ work, and integrated the business Instagram feed in order to promote a constant stream of new on-site content.
Did we make the website responsive? You bet’cha. Website visitors can view the website easily and actually find/use the navigation on every conceivable screen size — responsiveness, or a lack thereof, was a problem with Marvel Builders’ older site.
Is responsiveness important? Of course! More than 52% of all online traffic occurs through mobile devices. If a website isn’t mobile-friendly, it’s deflecting a considerable chunk of online traffic.

Results
Before Amity Digital:
After Amity Digital:
Were they happy? Oh, yeah.
Eric Marvel was very happy with the new website.
(And still is.)
The website is responsive, so it configures itself according to the device being used. People can easily navigate the website using handheld devices (like smartphones and tablets) without having to enlarge the screen, or press buttons with a toothpick.
The website features helpful, informative text in order to promote Marvel Builders’ many construction services. It also shows Marvel Builders’ level of skill and competency with visual proof (i.e., images of completed work and work-in-progress).
Remember when I mentioned a “preponderance of customers?” Eric could really — and I mean, really — use the help. Because of this, we included a “Now Hiring” page, allowing potential candidates to kickstart the application process.
And whether we’re providing branded apparel with the official Marvel Builders, Inc. logo, or helping add content to the new website, we’re still working very closely with Eric to ensure the success of Marvel Builders, Inc. through virtual — and physical — branding.
